
Maïa Perraudeau is a PhD researcher and consultant in international fisheries law. Maïa is carrying out her PhD at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Her PhD thesis investigates the roles of law in how States cooperating in Regional Fisheries Management Organisations manage distributional conflicts over straddling and highly migratory fish stocks. Maïa also provides legal analysis for NGOs, with a current focus on the Indian Ocean. Before her PhD, Maïa interned at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and studied at the universities of Oxford, Edinburgh, and Paris II.
